Summer Nights returns to WC

June 23, 2014 – The clouds threatened to dampen the celebration, but that didn’t stop a large crowd of local residents and visitors for turning out for the first Summer Nights event of 2014 Friday.

The rains managed to bypass the celebration as vendors welcomed customers with booths dotting the 600 Block of Second Street. The theme for the evening was Be a Hero, with area residents offered the opportunity to learn more about Be the Match and bone marrow donations. Read More

Tip lead law enforcement to suspects

March 6, 2014 –  A local tipster helped law enforcement arrest two Webster City residents who are suspected to have held up two stores.

Hamilton County Sheriff Denny Hagenson said an anonymous person was awarded $250 from Hamilton County Crime Stoppers for providing information that lead to the arrests. Read More

WC men arrested in sign damage case

February 11, 2014 – The Webster City Police Department investigated an incident that occurred in late December involving approximately 20 city street signs that were purposely damaged. In addition, the Hamilton County Crimestoppers offered a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest of any of the persons who are responsible for damage. Read more
